Flatlands Dance Film Festival (Film Shorts)-Spring 2024

Join us this fall for our 10th annual Flatlands Dance Film Festival (Film Shorts)
Friday, January 19, 7pm Spurlock Museum

The festival opens with Under Your Name, a short dance film directed by Dance at Illinois 2019 guest Artist, Omri Drumlevich. Filmed in Champaign, Under Your Name is an excerpt from a dance film series titled Far: Arriving at the Unknown, which moves between six individual stories of fascination with the unknown and the primal urge to explore it. The film competition portion of the Flatlands Dance Film Festival highlights a variety of dance films from around the world. This year's adjudicators include Dancer and Choreographer Jennifer Allen, Dancer, Writer, Multidisciplinary Artist, Irene Hsiao, and Filmmaker and Movement Artist, Omri Drumlevich. After the short films, awards will be presented to the Festival Winner (as selected by the festival adjudicators) and an Audience Award (as selected by the audience).
