Called “a hotbed of choreographic innovation” by The New York Times, Dance at Illinois is one of the most respected departments in the United States.
Choose from a BA, BFA, BA +BS and Musical Theatre Minor
Our three-year, in-residence program fosters innovative choreographic and academic research and provides in-depth creative and teaching experiences. MFA candidates work one-on-one with mentors to design a course of study that supports their individual choreographic interests.
Our 200-hour yoga teacher certification program prepares you to teach yoga in most programs or studios that offer yoga practices and can be paired with the BA, BA+BS, BFA or MFA program.
Dance at Illinois offers numerous courses in dance techniques, creative practices and theory courses.
